Pas de Sales (03-02-2009)
Experienced skiers can discover Le Pas de Sales – our High Mountain Guide Christophe’s most highly recommended off piste run in the Grand Massif. Dropping off the back of Flaine’s Grand Platières, you’ll descend down rarely tracked slopes until you reach a 48m high cliff face (which is why the area is untracked!). With your skis on your back, Christophe will safely abseil you down beside a frozen waterfall, from where you’ll ski again through forests and abandoned villages, with the most breathtaking scenery the Grand Massif has to offer, finally ending up in Sixt village. This is an excursion highly recommended by our secretary Louise, who was lucky enough to tag along as 'official photographer' last week!
